Clesen Wholesale is a third-generation, family-owned wholesale grower that has been in operation since 1941. That’s when Frank Clesen, grandfather to current owners Tim and Tom Clesen, opened the doors of Frank Clesen & Sons on Florence Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. Tim and Tom literally grew up in the business, helping their grandfather in the greenhouse from a young age. In 2001, they purchased the original Evanston location and formed Clesen Wholesale. Today the company operates both the Evanston wholesale greenhouse and a second growing facility in Lake Villa. It is the premier grower, broker, and distributor of wholesale seasonal annuals in the Chicago market and Winter Decorations™ Nationwide.
